The Coast Bar

The Coast Bar - right on the Beach in Youghal!

The Coast Bar is just a stone’s throw from Redbarn's Blue Flag Beach. It is a stunning location to enjoy a drink with friends and family, to relax on the sun terrace and to have a delicious meal at any time of the day.

Breakfast and light bites are served from 9 until 12 noon. Our Lunch Menu runs from 12 until 3 p.m. Salads are served from 12 until 9.30 pm. Sandwiches are available from 12 until 5 pm. Our evening menu/a la carte is served from 5 pm until 9 pm.

All menus feature locally sourced fresh produce and are prepared in-house by our Chef, Kieran O'Shaugnessy.

With live entertainment on selected evenings, there is no better place for a great night out!  Imagine a warm summer night with al fresco dining on the terrace and music in the background ...bliss!

Entertainment in the Coast Bar is on selected nights throughout the year and every night during the summer months starting at 10pm.

Breakfast/Brunch (From 9 until 12)
Along with a selection of scones, croissants, muffins, tarts, American pancakes, brioche French toast, fresh fruit salads & yoghurts....... there's:

The Quality Special Breakfast Bap with grilled bacon, black & white pudding and fried egg on served on a toasted ciabaatta.
Ballycotton Smoked Salmon with scrambled eggs and garden herb served on crisp wholemeal bread.
Quality Eggs Benedict - soft poached hens eggs, grilled bacon, baby spinach served on a buttered English muffin with a rich Hollandaise sauce.

Salads (served from 12 until 9.30)

Our Quality Special Salads include:
Cajun roasted chicken salad with smoked pancetta, croutons, cherry tomato, red onion parmesan with garlic aioli; Ballycotton salmon salad with soft boiled hen's eggs, green beans and capers with a herb aioli; Chorizo & prawn salad, garlic roast potatoes, tomatoe salsa, basil pesto and garlic aioli; Pomegrante & Quinoa salad, pickled fennel, orange, feta and red wine vinaigrette or Salad of honey roasted figs with Cashel Blure cheese, Clonakilty black pudding, parsnip and cumin chrisps with a red wine vinaigrette.

Sandwiches (From 12 until 5) 

With simple sandwiches always available, we also have a choice of Quality Special Sandwiches:

Toasted Specials with ham/chicken, tomato, red onion and cheddar cheese served on brown or white bread; Ardsallagh Goat's cheese, red onion marmalade and spinach panini; Rosemary roast chicken with sage stuffing, red onion, rocket herb mayo on a garlic cibatta; Spiced beef with whiskey caramelised onions, horseradish and wholegrain mustard aioli, pickled gerkins on sourdough bread or Ballycotton smoked salmon on homemade brown bread with pickled fennel saffron aioli and rocket.




A Light bite of Lunch (From 12 until 3)
If you want a light lunch, we have a great selection of fare to tempt your taste buds!

These include spiced wings with Cashel Blue cheese dip and baby leaf; Fresh Atlantic seafood chowder or soup of the day served with homemade mixed breads; Deep fried brie with mango salsa, mixed leaf and creme de cassis reduction; Comfit Duck spring roll, mismo dipping sauce and Asia slaw; Garlic sauteed wild mushrooms on brioche toast with a mustard and tarragon sauce or Lemon and herb fried calamari with saffron garlic aoile, roast choizo oil and baby leaf.

Lunch Main Courses (From 12 until 3)

With even more choice for lunch available, you can choose from steak sandwiches, battered fresh cod, pulled pork burgers, fried cajun chicken, ground beef and Italian sausage lasagne, all served with garnishes, salad and chips. We also have a delicious special of Ardsallagh goats cheese with tomato marmelade and baby spinach on crisp puff pastry.

Evening Menu/A La Carte (From 5 to 9)

In addition to the selection of Lite Bites served at lunch time (above), we serve Beetroot and lime cured salmon with horseradish aioli, rocket, red onion and garlic croutons and a honey and Herb infused Ardsallagh goats cheese with fig and onion chutney, tomato salsa and bread crisps. 

Main courses:
10 oz Sirloin steak
with garlic sauteed wild mushrooms, crispy shallots with brandy peppercorn sauce and chunky chips; Fir Blog battered fresh cod with pea and mint puree, tartar sauce homemade chunky chips and mixed leaf salad; Slow braised pork belly (5 hours!) with Clonakilty black pudding potato cake, sweet potato puree with mustard and tarragon sauce; Baked fillet of salmon, lemon and herb mash with roast prawn bisque and served with a selection of summer vegetables. Our vegetarain special is a Roasted Mediterranean vegetable gnocci in a rich tomato and sage sauce, served with garlic flatbread. .
